The Indian team’s physiotherapist swiftly made his way to the field to provide immediate treatment to the all-rounder. Regrettably, Pandya’s injury proved too severe to continue, forcing him to leave the field.
However, there was a surprising and heartening turn of events for the spectators at Pune’s MCA Stadium. As soon as Virat Kohli took the ball in hand to fill in for Pandya, the crowd erupted in cheers. This star batter proceeded to complete the remaining three deliveries of the over, showcasing his versatility on the cricket field.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has provided an official update on Hardik’s status, revealing that he has undergone a scan, and his condition is currently under assessment.
In the preceding events, Bangladesh won the coin toss and made the decision to take the first batting opportunity against India. Their team had encountered an initial setback, as Shakib Al Hasan was unavailable for the match. In his place, Najmul Hossain Shanto stepped out for the toss, and the Playing XI saw Nasum Ahmed taking Shakib’s position in the Bangladesh lineup.
