Admin OpenAI has introduced new capabilities to ChatGPT Plus that aim to streamline the user experience. Currently in beta, the updates allow users to upload and edit images, PDFs, and other files directly within the chat.
By simply prompting and uploading a file, ChatGPT can now modify images or analyze documents without having to switch interfaces. This enables more seamless workflow when working with different file types.
Additionally, ChatGPT now intelligently auto-switches between other AI models like DALL-E based on conversational context. Previously, users had to manually prompt each switch. The new auto-switching allows ChatGPT to dynamically leverage the best model for the task at hand.
While auto-switching is now the default, manual selection is still available for those wanting more control. In general, these updates remove friction points by making ChatGPT more versatile out-of-the-box.
The new functionality remains exclusive to paying ChatGPT Plus subscribers during the beta period. But it highlights OpenAI’s ongoing efforts to refine the ChatGPT experience by introducing helpful quality-of-life improvements.
